great people to meet, no centers to rooms but still good sleep the stairs was annoying.

If you stay at Pacific Tradewinds you are guaranteed to feel at home. It is a small and cozy hostel. The staff is amazing and James, the manager, is making sure everything is under control. I've had the best of times here and my San Francisco visit wouldn't have been the same without this hostel! I definitely recommend it.

Location is PERFECT! Great place to meet other travelers. Manager was EXTRA NICE to wake up at 3am to open me the door since my plane got delayed. They provide a map of San Francisco explaining the places to visit! Overall great place to stay in San Francisco Thank you so much!

It's difficult to avoid making friends at Pacific Tradewinds--the setup is such that even sitting at the computers you're in the middle of at least one conversation. The location was both safe and fun, just a quick walk away from some great bars in North Beach. As always, wonderful staff makes small hostels worthwhile.

There seemed to be more staff here than guests but they were friendly and helpful. You can't lock your door and it's in the 4th floor but close to interesting things. If you want to meet people, it's easy here

An awesome place to stay. The Atmosphere of this Hostel beats anything ive ever stayed at before and the Staff are so friendly. If your looking for a cheap, great place to chill out have fun and feel welcome, then stay at the TradeWinds.

The space is tight but given the location, cleanliness, and friendly environs I think its a very nice place.

This is a very good Hostel. Rooms are very clean. Location is perfect. People in hostel are very friendly and nice. The internet is little bit slow but i am not gonna take points for internet:). Overall this is an excellent hostel with fun and nice staff.

My best hostel experience ever! The staff in particular made me feel at home right away.
