Nice location, helpful and friendly staff, secure entrance and lockers in rooms. All in all, very good hostel and I'll be sure to stay there if I return to San Francisco.
It was so nice to stay in an American hostel withOUT a "club" somewhere on premise. It was wonderful to be able to get to sleep at a normal hour and wake up early if needed. I had a great time, Pacific Tradewinds was the perfect hostel to explore the city from. Keep up the good work!

Great, great hostel. Excellent location, rooms, staff (especially their helpfulness), and even nice bathrooms. Staff takes you out at night to local bars! Their willing to help with your touring activities. Internet sometimes gets spotty but that only encourages one to go outside!! I recommend while in San Fransisco.

Only stayed very briefly but great location, friendly staff, nice place. Once you've recovered from the stairs, it's a perfect place to stay.
I only stayed one night, but the staff was so friendly and helpful, I wish I could have stayed longer. There was a wine tasting the night that I stayed and it was an unexpected suprise and I learned a lot from it. This to me was exactly what I look for in a hostel, a comfortable place, with the opportunity to meet a lot of great people, and the chance to learn a little something more about the place I'm at.
GLORIOUS HOSTEL! One of the best I've stayed in. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, & the place feels like it has a good community kinda vibe without being cliquey- a hard line to tread! It really feels like they have planned out the whole place very thoughtfully- so many little details that just work well! Love the constant tunes in reception too. Special shoutout goes to Avi for waiting up for me when I arrived at 2:30am.
Out of the various countries I've stayed, this is my favorite hostel. The bed and bathroom are clean. The kitchen has everything needed to cook and store food. The ship decorations charmed me, and the crew befriended me. The travelers from all over the world were well-spoken. The common room has chill music and a lively atmosphere. And it's next to Chinatown, North Beach, and SOMA. I definitely look forward to returning, and would recommend the same to any friend.
