I truely enjoyed the homely atmosphere that I have never before experienced in another hostel before. The ship-themed furnishing is also a very nice touch. Thanks so much.
Compared to other hostels I've stayed in, Pacific Tradewinds felt very safe, secure, and clean. It was a nice experience and a great place to wind down before Burning Man!
You guys gave me a first hostel experience that will be hard to beat, you all were so friendly and helpful and open and honest. I was sad to leave.
I loved the wine tasting, I learned a lot more about california wines and gained an appreciation for the history and nuances. Matt was a great teacher!
I do not have a single complaint. Everything was amazing. Tara and I left wishing we could return next weekend to see everyone again. We can't wait to visit again in a few months, and you'll be the only place we call for reservations.

Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, welcoming, and warm. I initially looked for a hostel to save money, but the atmosphere at Pacific Tradewinds was a wonderful surprise. It turned out to be way more fun than staying by myself in a hotel room would have been.
I had a great stay and absolutely loved the hostel. You have such a fantastic group of staff who make it so easy to be there and to meet people and always invited me and other travellers out when they were going. Its still my joint favourite hostel of my trip.
An excellent hostel! Felt like so much thought had been put into all the little details...from having enough hooks in the showers, to luggage storage, lots of power outlets, sweet tunes in reception, helpful tips and a map. Legends.
If it wasn't for the hostel staff, I wouldn't have had any clue where to go and what to see. He gave me a map and pointed out points of interest, explained how to get there, what areas to avoid etc. When looking for a bike to rent, he also helped me out right away without my even asking for it. Great service, super friendly environment and it was always clean!
