I felt immediately at ease in Pacific Tradewinds, everyone helped me when I needed it and I liked the athmosphere of the plae : nice people from everywhere in the world gathered in the same table.

Exactly as advertised. Very small very very community oriented hostel in the heart of San Francisco. Highly recommended for people who like people and are headed to the Bay Area-- spontaneous feeling of family with a whole bunch of folks you've never met before the minute you enter the doors. Definitely cooperative style short term living space - not for someone who wants quiet, personal space, non unisex private bathroom space. 100% fit for cooperative community oriented folks instead. Personally loved it and would certainly visit again.

Another great stay at Pacific Tradewinds. Just like last time, check in and out was easy, the hostel was clean, and the people - both staff and guests - were friendly, social, and cool. Highly recommend.

This was an awesome little find right in the heart of the bustling San Fran. Really neat little spot where you have a "crossroads of the world" type experience, offering you the opportunity to meet people the globe over. Can't really think of too much downside and for a hostel experience, I was pleasantly surprised since it was well organized, clean, and safe, which seem to be the things people worry most about with hostels. I recommend this for the thrifty traveller looking to get the genuine city experience.

I was moving to San Francisco from So Cal, so I booked this hostel for a week in hopes that I would find a place to live within that time.I never actually got a chance to stay here because I found a place to live sooner than I thought, but the booking process was smooth and friendly, and when I called to cancel the rest of my nights they were very understanding and immediately refunded me the difference. Thank you for your great customer service!

It really was hard to say goodbye. Absolutely fantastic and profession staff. I enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely recommend it to the lads.
