The people were great and the place was clean, two main things to make the stay very comfortable. It is a hostel environment, which is made clear; but it's a very good one at that. Guests generally respect each other, and the hosts are very nice people. I stayed 7 nights, I would stay again easily.
Fantastic location just outside of North Beach and near many bus routes. Beautiful, friendly vibes and staff kindly allowed me to send a parcel to the hostel to be picked up upon arrival. Would definitely, definitely stay here whenever in SF.

The hostel made us feel very welcome. It is small and in the heart of downtown, on the edge of Chinatown. The vibe is good, and the hostel is very clean and kept up given the face there is only one toilet per floor and quite a few guests. If you are looking for an affordable place to just rest your head, and you are not averse to hostel-style living - this hostel is a great choice.
The host was very helpful. She showed me fun places to go in San Francisco and was very friendly. Liked cheap, located in San Francisco, ability to chat with other house guests at the common area.
Loved it, the staff are friendly and informative. The facility is clean, and the guidelines are clear. There's a couple of flights of stairs you have to climb to get to the main floor. No elevator, but I didn't mind too much the exercise was definitely needed. All and all I would recommend it, and or stay again. The location is great!
I was so thankful to have a place to store my bags during my downtown visit. The hostel staff members were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend using their services when you need someone to hold your "stuff".

A great hostel that is clean, comfortable and safe. The staff was friendly and responsible. Location is great, in China Town close to all attractions. The only issue I had was with the abundant street noise, but that is just by virtue of its location not really reflective of the quality of the hostel. They provide towels which is a plus. I highly recommend perfect for the solo traveler. I would definitely stay again!
