Very helpful staff. Fun atmosphere. Good common room for chatting and meeting people. Staff have lots of good ideas for stuff to do. Awesome central location. When you get to the hostel they will tell you some areas for free parking, only downside is that it's a twenty minute busride. However you will pay for parking at any hostel so I suggest leaving your car on a free residential street and using transit for your time in San Francisco

Quite simply, this is the best hostel experience I have ever had. It was more like a community than a business.

The staff really made the difference! I was there during off season so the hostel wasn't as active as it might normally be.

I was very pleased with the facilities at Pacific Tradewinds San Francisco - having stayed at hundreds of hostels over the past 37 years I know of where I speak - I will definitely stay at PCSF again - so glad I found it!

As a Canadian physician, I noticed throughout my stay at Pacific Tradewinds an uncanny knack of caring for their patrons. While I was there they showed me around, they told me where to be careful in the city and they were incredibly social - on the last night we even went on an incredible social event at the local pubs. Honestly after this experience at a Hostel, I do not feel that I will ever be able to stay in a Hotel again. Absolutely amazing.

Wonderful people run the place, and it's in a great part of town. One of the best weekends I've had.

It was cool to meet nice people from all around the world! They gave me very useful informations like good place to go, nice place to do something and bla~ bla~ It was a really good experience and I'm missing this place!

It was my 1st ever hostel, (which the friendly staff took on board & welcomed me so well). There\'s such a friendly vibe, VERY social (unlike other hostels I went to later on) clean & comfortable. The Manager took us out to make sure we got there safely, there was a VERY in depth discussion about the city with a map and great deals about. I liked it so much that even though my flight to Sydney was from LA and I was already in LA, I flew over to SF just to spend my last 2 nights here! AWESOME.

Really nice hostel if you're looking to meet people, staff are very friendly, nice, and helpful - i wouldn't come here if you're looking for a ton of privacy but if you just want a comfortable homey place to hang out while in sf, this is the place
