I had a wonderful stay at Pacific Tradewinds! It's small so you can easily get to know people. I had never been to a backpacker with such a great atmosphere! I'll definitely go back there when I go back to SF! :)

This is a great hostel if you want to meet other travellers and have a great time in San Fran. The rooms are very clean and the staff are awesome. Will definitely stay here again

the staff have been amazing since i got here. originally i had only booked 3 nights, but even though they were so busy they allowed me to extend every day i asked! i've now been here for nearly a week and its great! although i'm not 21, ive heard the events are pretty awesome and theres always someone to help you with the sightseeing in sf...i definately recommend this place-10/10.

On my visit Tradewinds hit a sweet spot. The staff care about what they do, it was chilled out, quiet and I felt very secure. There\'s a feeling of community. Won\'t hesitate to stay there again.

I've stayed in a fair few hostels over the years and the Pacific Tradewinds is definitely up there as one of my favourites. Great location, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, a real home from home. ^_^ Hopefully I'll get to visit again before I head back to the UK.
