Great place! Unfortunately I was busy while I was there so I didn't get to participate in any of the hostel social activities, but everyone that I met was super nice and friendly. I've stayed in other SF hostels before, but Pacific Tradewinds was my favorite and I'll definitely stay there again!
Brilliant place, Staff were great esp Brian, all really clean could, not have been better
So I actually missed the night b/c I got in too late and stuck @ SFO, but in the morning the spanish girl was very helpful (and it doesn't hurt that she's cute, too) and let me take a shower there and get ready for the day. Thanks!
I loved it. The staff was very helpful and welcoming and the hostel is in a great location. It has a friendly vibe and I felt at home right away.
Great hostel. Staff are ultra helpful, and good fun as well. This place reminds of a fun group house but much more organised and clean. Enjoy!
This hostel is FANTASTIC. All of the staff members (special shout outs to Bobby and Dave!) are awesome - they are very nice, helpful, and fun. It's in a good location and not too far from the BART. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm out this way.

This is an overall great hostel, in an amazing city, at a great price.
WOW! Hostels all over the world should send their management and staff to come observe the gracious and knowledgeable team of Dave and Shelley dazzle and indulge and serve the guests in the most hospitable manner I have ever experienced at a youth hostel (and I ain't no youth, so I've seen quite a few others!). I cannot wait to return to SF and skip the Hyatt Regency and the other luxury hotels for the comfort and community of the Pacific Tradewinds!
