This hostel is a wonderful experience for any solo traveller who is open to travelling with newly discovered company; this space will provide you with plenty. The hosts provide you with maps and all the other details that one could possibly need to get around the city. The amenities are well-stocked and everyone is very welcoming and nice.
The hostel was warm and vibrant from the beginning
While this was my first hostel experience ever -- I had my general questions and assumptions even but I'm glad I went ahead and jumped in with two feet; the hostel was warm and vibrant from the beginning. The host is impressionably witty, answerable, and charismatic a combination for authenticity in my book.

my flight was delayed; i called the hostel and Chad kindly waited for me a bit past closing time. thanks! he also helped me up the stairs with my bag. excellent atmosphere and even though I only spent a few hours there it's definitely a good (and unique,i.e. not part of a chain or anything) hostel.

Fun, safe, welcoming community. This was my first stay at a hostel and I very much enjoyed it. There is a good mix of daily activities and interesting conversations in the common area. Things are setup well so it's fun and easy to get involved or do your own thing. Free food and coffee, laundry service and amenities in general made for a super comfortable stay. I ended up hanging out and visiting with the random awesome folks around the hostel as I did going out sight seeing.

I had a lovely time at the hostel. I stayed for 4 days and really felt like my own home. It was a clean, comfortable and very central. Everyone was nice and friendly. Really helped me to feel welcomed and thus enjoyed my stay. Can't say anything bad everyone was great. Highly recommend this place.
It's a small family!
Super nice, welcoming, warm and cosy Hostel. The Pacific Tradewinds was my first stop when arrived to SF and...what a great welcome! The staff are so cool, laid back, kind and nice! From the very first moment I felt so integrated! They help you a lot! They treat you like the same, it's a small family! They're so down to earth! The hostel facilities are so cosy, you feel like in your own house, you socialize so easily with people. The only bad think is that I only stayed there for a night!
