The hostel was very welcoming and had a good mix of people from many different countries that checked in. The environment, host, areas, bathrooms were kept clean and well maintained. I didn't see any problems when it came to cleanliness and the check in process. The staff were helpful because of their friendly and positive attitudes in terms of explaining and guiding you through the rules.
Got the upper bed, but still it was nice... The staff is GREAT and I'm sure next time i'll be in S.F I'll stay there again. P.S they give you free ear plugs which became very useful the last two nights.

The bed was small but very comfy. The hostel was very clean. The shower was very good, one has less water pressure than the other so all good if you can grab it.
Had a a great experience at Pacific Tradewinds Hostel. The staff members are are all extremely welcoming and easy to get along with. The social atmosphere is perfect for getting to know other travelers and making friends to explore the city with.
This is a small and international hostel. The place it not overly spacious and due to the walls which do not go up to the ceiling it is a bit noisy when people come back late at night, but it is very clean and friendly.
Host and other guests were all very welcoming. Great central location which felt very safe and was easily accessible. It was so cool to sit and chat with different people visiting from all over. I really enjoyed my stay!!
Great place to stay; everyone working here that we talked to were so helpful - from helping us bring our bags up into the dorms to helping us plan our day around the transit system. Would totally recommend !

Everyone at the hostel, staff and guests, were very nice and welcoming. People were willing to help you out, tell you how to get around or invite you to go explore the city together. Staff keep the common areas clean and the visitors during my stay seemed to keep their own areas/bunks clean as well. Everyone was aware of quiet hours and seemed to respect those hours. The hostel is in a good location and very easy to walk to places and still feel safe, even at night. Great, safe, clean economical way to travel! I recommend staying here!
