I stayed here last year and now I'm a repeat offender... I mean customer... I mean Dave is the best! Gave me all sorts of great recommendations. I came in after midnight and acted crazy and still managed to have some good conversations. And the hostel's location can't be beat.
Had a good time, was just a short trip, but what an amazing city...just like my home in Cape Town!

We would recommend this hostel to anyone. Everyone is really friendly, our best hostel experience yet. We stayed extra nights because we didn't want to leave.
We had a great time at Pac Tradewinds, the staff members were friendly and the guests were heaps of fun. We were able to walk to all downtown areas from the hostel, and buses and cable cars were readily availble just nearby for those sights further away.
Beds were comfortable and not noisy at all, lockers under the beds were terrific (make sure you bring a lock) and free internet was a big plus. We'd definitely return to Pac Tradewinds if we're ever in San Fran again!

Everybody was really helpful and really nice. The location was awesome, with easy access to Chinatown, North Beach and Market Street, which has all the travel links to get you around San Francisco and the Bay Area itself.

As soon as I arrived at the hostel I felt very welcome. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I met great people straight away.
