Really friendly, really helpful, really sociable place. What a hostel is really all about.

I don't know what to say about this hostel other than its amazing. The staff, location, everything is great about this place. If you're going to be in San Francisco, this is definately the place to stay!

Had a great stay, the staff are friendly and helpful.
Loved the kitchen, and all the amenities were clean. Great atmosphere. Best hostel i've stayed in so far.

I've had a great time during my visit in SF. B'cause it's a small hostel, everybody knows eachother and even goes out for drinking at night. I've seen a lot of diff. nationalities and very friendly backpackers.

My friend and I stayed here and it was awesome. The residents sit in the common area chatting and relaxing, and the staff is welcoming and inclusive. The Hostel is safe, fun and in a great area. WIll recommend it to anyone traveling into San Francisco, and will return ourselves.

The atmosphere of the hostel is extremely laid-back and it is an amazing place to not only stay, but to meet people and have fun as well.

This is by far the best Hostel I have stayed at - it captures the real backpacker feeling, and you can tell that the people who runs it - are travellers themselves. They give good advice, and if you behave they'll even take you out to nearby bars... The Trade winds is more than a hostel... It's family
