my stay was awesome, it was fun meeting new people and sharing their experience of the journey they were on, something that a traditional hotel doesn't afford.

When the concept hostel was invented, they were thinking of this place.It is amazing how much people you get to know here!The character is really good,it is amazingly situated,and the staff is ALWAYS helpfull.I have to say that you must love hostels to stay here,as in being a girl and opening the shower door to a row of three guys brushing their teeth,wich I don't mind because the staff takes care of everything being respectfull and positive.
Very nice place. Good location!!!! I only stayed for two nights, but I'd really like to stay for more days next time. Kelly is very helpful, she gave me some advices for my tour which turn out good ones that make me so enjoyed in San Francisco!!! All other people are very nice as well. You will like this place!!! I had a wonderful stay here! The hostel was immaculately clean, the location great, and both the staff and the other travelers really friendly and down to earth. I was disappointed that I could only stay one night!
I'd like to thank all staff members and guests of Pacific Tradewinds for the unforgettable stay I had in SFO thanks to them! The place is clean, safe, perfectly located right downtown SFO, quiet enough to sleep a bit and above all very very friendly! :) I met great people there with whom I visited the city and hung out every night! :) It was my first experience in a youth hostel and I can say it was a great experience! I already miss you guys and SFO as well! Hope to come back one day!
Lovely people running the place. Very friendly and helpful. It felt safe and it was in a great location, walking distance to a lot of sights. Evertyhing I needed it! I recommend this place!
I stayed here for about 8 days. I was looking for an apartment here in San Francisco, and this hostel was a great place to be. It is in a great location right at the center of everything. Bars and great restaurants are very close and also all the sights. I had a great time at this hostel. It was my first time staying in a hostel and now I have a very positive perspective of them. Pacific Tradewinds is a great hostel because of the people. This place seems to draw awesome and interesting people. I met a ton of cool people from all over the world. The beds are super clean.
I enjoyed my stay at Darren & Friends. The staffs were very friendly and nice. The location is adjacent to Chinatown where you can get good and cheap food.
I went to a bunch of hostels in the area, but this hostel had the friendliest staff and community and made me feel right at home! Everything was super clean and organized. The staff was understanding and flexible, and the fellow travelers were just super cool people from all around the world! I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area and would choose this hostel over any other short term accommodation options!
