Great Place! Clean, close to public transport, walking distance to China town, friendly staff, small but clean bathroom and showers, free socks wash, free tea and coffee, free peanut butter and jelly :)
I couldn't have asked for a better hostel experience for my first time traveling alone! I was the youngest person at the hostel (I'm 19) but I never felt out of place or anything. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to anything I might need. It did kind of have the feel of a summer camp, but much nicer and for adults :) I will definitely be recommending this place to friends looking to travel to SF. The location was wonderful and I ended up walking almost everywhere, though I believe it is close to a Muni stop if people aren't comfortable walking a few miles each day.

This hostel is run by the best and most friendly people who will show you around all the cool places in SF. My friends and I rated it the best hostel we've stayed at! Its smaller size makes it so easy to make friends and all the staff members are absolutely amazing and will go out of their way for you! Location is brilliant! Everything is brilliant!

I had a great few nights spent with the crew at Pacific Tradewinds. After reading several reviews beforehand, when I showed up I was not disappointed. The hostel has a fun, knowledgeable staff and the location is great for walking to so many SF destinations.
