Really great place to stay in San Fran. Friendly staff and a network of other guests always happy to provide tips and good sightseeing. In a great food area of chinatown too!
In between Chinatown and Financial District, you’re walking distance from all the fun places in town. Lyft and Uber are inexpensive around SF as well. Great location for this place and a parking garage ($32 a night) is right down the street.
I had a lots of fun and met a bunch of amazing people! It's in a great location too.

The hostel was a great space with lots of amenities very clean and super helpful staff, but the best part was the location situated right in the middle of everything. We are looking forward to staying here on our next trip to San Francisco.

I stayed one night in the hostel and it was amazing. So many nice people are staying there and the staff is very nice. Also they offer free Peanutbutter Jelly Sandwiches, Coffee and Tea. I would always stay there again and highly recommend it. Thank you very much for the good time!
I can only recommend young travelers to stay here. It’s the perfect hostel for backpackers. The location is central in a nice neighborhood that gives you more than a day worth to explore. BART and Muni are only 5 minutes away ( if the hills made you shy from walking). The bathrooms are clean and so are the bedrooms. Everyone who works at Pacific Tradewinds was super nice and helpful. Sadly, I didn’t have the time to participate in any hostel activities, but everything they offered seemed like a great deal of fun. Plus: complimentary PBJs!
