It is the best hostel you can hope for. the down side: very low space for your things. the good sides. nice people, very friendly staff great atmosphere you feel very welcome from the beginning and not alone like in other hostels. i would definietly go there again.!
This was the perfect hostel to stay in - very friendly, small and personal. The staff go with you to the bars, are out-of-their-way helpful and answer all questions with a smile. They are very helpful for activities in San Fran. The best hostel in San Fran! Book in advance if you want to stay here!
best hostel l've ever been
I met people from everywhere in this small, nice and friendly place. It's a little bit tight but for this price I would go 100% for it. It's clean, it has a small kitchen with a fridge, good internet connection and not at last a friendly and willing to help staff
I have backpacked for several years and stayed at many hostels in many different countries and the Pacific Tradewinds has to be one of the best by far. Thanks for a great stay guys!!!

This was the most amazing hostel I have ever seen! VERY clean (I even felt comfortable showering in bare feet!). I asked how they did it and it turns out that they clean three times a day. Staff was very helpful and friendly. All of the party people go out at 9 or 10pm, which is arranged by the staff and very appreciated by people like me who have a bedtime. It's also very close to the subway.
brilliant hostel, very friendly staff who bombarded me with lots of useful information when i arrived up the 4 flights of stairs! i travelled alone and was a bit nervous but met lots of great people immediately. the hostel is very sociable and is run by a great bunch of guys who are always around and make you feel like you are at a mates house. great location too, apart from the stairs. highly recommended

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Much better atmosphere than the Adelaide-- people were open and welcoming, but respectful of others' space and need for quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the staff!
