For my first time going to San Fransico, I was just happy to be there. The people in the hostel are so welcoming and it was so easy to make new friends. I'm so grateful for deciding to stay here because it made the trip so much better than it already was.
What an amazing hostel with a friendly community feel. I can’t say enough positive aspects of my visit! I’ve moved on to stay at a different location in the city and I miss PT hostel already! I would recommend this experience to anyone open minded who likes company while traveling somewhere new.
Great place to stay- they thought of everything from hair tools to shampoo to the free pbj. Stay here meet cool people and do cool things because the location is perfect too
The hostel is clean and the location could not be better. It is close to every place you want to visit it SF. The hosts were super friendly.
I had to cancel at the last minute, but communication with the host up until then was prompt.

LOVED my stay. Pacific Tradewinds Hostel is the best hostel I have visited in my travels. Althoigh small, it is a cozy place full of warm, charming, friendly people. The amenities are great (free coffee, tea, pbj sandwiches and more), the beds are comfy, and the hosts are full of awesome travel tips and know the best local places to check out. My stay here seriously made my trip so much more fun. Would highly recommend!!
This place is awesome! It’s homey, charming, with outstanding hosts, friendly company, great local tips, and thoughtful touches (sock washes and free ramen and pbj sandwiches!) It really made my trip much more memorable and the location is close to several popular districts in town. Highly recommend!
My best friend and I stayed at PT for 2 nights following a business trip, and it was both of our first times staying in a hostel! Everything was as advertised--the bathrooms were clean, the reception staff is super helpful, the community is friendly and welcoming. The private bathroom on our level was a lifesaver, and there was never a long wait. The communal bathroom was cramped, but sufficient. There are quiet hours (even in the common area), so if you're a night owl, expect to spend a decent amount of time in the stairwell.
