Spent 3 days/2 nights and had a fantastic experience. The dorms are plain and beds aren't the greatest for comfort but the people are what it's all about. Staff responded quickly to messages and gave great advice before my arrival. I arrived in San Francisco with almost no plans, hoping the hostel was as community oriented as advertised. I was able to drop my luggage off for safe keeping hours before check in so I didn't have to worry about lugging it around during my first day in town. As soon as I arrived back in the evening I met a great group of people hanging out and chatting in common area. I received many tips on places to go, things to do and even made some friends with whom to experience these adventures! From your typical tourist spots to late night drinks and dumplings in Chinatown, there was almost always someone down to join you. The free pb&j and ramen were a great touch, too! Super convenient and helped save money on some of those more annoying little expenses that add up. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, I'd highly recommend trying a snickerdoodle milkshake from "The Melt" a couple blocks down!
