I stayed at Pacific Tradewinds for 5 days. It was my first hostel experience and it was really quite wonderful. Within an hour or two the place felt like home and I was making connections with my fellow travelers. The employees on site were super helpful, energetic, and went the extra mile to make sure that you're comfortable and getting to know the other guests. The kitchen area is really nice and allows you to cook or store food if you wish. The bathrooms are always kept clean and are more private than I expected.

Great location, very hospitable. Walking distance to Union Square. Quick access to public transport, shops, and activities. There's a private parking right across if you have a vehicle with you, but they provide you with a list of suggested spaces. If you have time, you can interact with others and make you're stay a more social one.
