Stay at PTW Made My Bucket List Trip Even Better Than I Hoped It Would Be

This was my first hostel visit in about 12 years and I must say I picked a good one to get back in the game. I have only tiny little cons and the pros outweigh them so massively they're almost not worth mentioning. Pros. The location is perfect for getting around most of the city and despite it being a hilly city I found it easy to get around. The rooms and beds are comfortable and quiet (3rd floor). Heaps of space to put all your stuff away (bring your own padlock). Showers/bathrooms were clean everytime I used them. Showers were hot! As with most hostels it's the people you meet there that make the experience either terrible or amazing and I can honestly say that everyone that works there are the best kind of human you will find. All were welcoming, friendly and super helpful with all my stupid questions. They run activities everyday doing various things like pub crawls, walking tours and movie/game nights. The resident party animal, Nabil will show you a really fun time, whether it's dancing in a club, wandering around the city (not getting lost!) or discussing almost anything from life to love to business and real estate. He is certainly a wonderful man, a rare breed. Very happy to have met him. Special shout out to my kindred spirit Zeke, our energies connected on a profound level and I really enjoyed our chats and laughs. Thanks for coming into my universe. Cons First thing people need to be aware of is that the hostel is on the 3rd and 4th floors of a building without a lift/elevator. I had minimal issues with it (despite having an ankle injury) but it should be mentioned so people are aware in case it's a problem. The quiet rooms downstairs in the 3rd floor are great with the exception of the big glass, uncovered windows at the top of the walls (no idea why). If the halls lights are on ( or in the rooms next door) the light comes flooding into the rooms, making it quite bright. Like I said, the cons are so minimal they're not really even cons... Just things to note. Overall, I'd have to say this experience made my bucket list trip even better than I hoped it would be. I can't wait to go back and have more fun there. ❤
