The best part of our stay In PTW was Definitely the Staff and other Guests

My best friend and I stayed at PT for 2 nights following a business trip, and it was both of our first times staying in a hostel! Everything was as advertised--the bathrooms were clean, the reception staff is super helpful, the community is friendly and welcoming. The private bathroom on our level was a lifesaver, and there was never a long wait. The communal bathroom was cramped, but sufficient. There are quiet hours (even in the common area), so if you're a night owl, expect to spend a decent amount of time in the stairwell. We were worried about security before our arrival, but that was totally squashed when we got there! There is a buzzer and key scanner to get in, and the lockers underneath the bunk beds are big enough to store whatever you need. The best part of our stay was definitely the staff and other guests! Everyone was so friendly, and it was a very comfortable stay overall. Zeke in particular was awesome--he kept reception open late to accommodate our check-in and still didn't rush through the tour/answering our questions. We had a great experience at Pacific Tradewinds and would recommend it to anyone trying to visit SF on a budget!
