The Community Atmosphere!

I stayed here twice on a several month long journey across north america. As a solo traveller I was looking for comfort as well as a bit of camaraderie. I found both in spades at the Pacific Tradewinds hostel. This review could be entered on the great local knowledge of the staff (they pointed me to an amazing restaurant when i showed up tired and hungry after a 36 hour train ride) it could also be centred on the cleanliness and comfort of the hostel. The real hidden gem of this place though is the community that it fosters. This starts with the staff and is infectious amongst the guests. You can literally sit down next to anyone and say hi and have a friend for life from the other side of whatever part of the world you come from. The staff foster this atmosphere and great vibe and is why whenever I visit san fran in the future I will stay here. No matter who you are or where you are from you will always have a place at this hostel and everyone benefits from this.
