San Francisco is surrounded on 3 sides by water so it'd be a shame to miss the beautiful coast! The hostel is only about a 10 minute walk from one of the shores, but that is of the San Francisco Bay. On the opposite side of the city lies Ocean Beach, a long stretch of wide coastline perfect for lounging around for the day. Grab whatever food you want to share, some drinks, and join us for a picnic and sunset hangout. Be warned though- San Francisco's beaches are frequently very chilly! It's always smart to bring layers in case Karl the Fog rolls in (yes, our fog has a name), especially as the sun goes down. But it's worth staying awhile as the sunsets are awesome and the nights bring bonfires! Bring money for transportation to/from the beach.
