Want to discover the wines of Northern California? Can't afford a guided tour of Napa or Sonoma wine country? Then stay right here at Pacific Tradewinds Hostel and enjoy a 2hr. tasting seminar at 8pm on Sun. evening in our commons room. Our staff member and certified sommelier, Matthew Curtis, will guide you through some of California's history, culture and geography as it relates to wine production here in the grape state. Fun, informational, and interactive, we will learn how to taste wine and what makes those from California unique. Five different wines, some local bread and cheese, and a great shared experience here at Pacific Tradewinds Hostel. Wine is not provided by Pacific Tradewinds. You must be 21 to drink wine in the hostel. Matthew asks that participants bring $10 to cover the cost of the various wines he will bring.
