The California Academy of Sciences Museum was already cool in its own right. It’s the only museum in the world to combine an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum, and living rainforest with hundreds of interactive exhibits. But just in case that wasn’t enough awesome to draw you in, they added Nightlife every Thursday. Once a week you can check out the museum at night to the tune of live music and djs, or check out a talk or performance, while grabbing a beer or cocktail from one of the many pop up bars. I mean..what?! The theme changes every week, as do the offerings, but it never disappoints and is always entertaining. Oh, did we mention that it’s also less than half price? Normally you’ll have to throw down 36 bucks to visit (which is still completely worth it) but on Thursdays from 6-10pm it’s only $15. You really have no reason NOT to check out this place, so grab a new hostel friend and head over! Please note, this event is strictly 21 and up due to the alcohol. Sorry younger friends.
