No, in accordance with California state law, there is no smoking allowed anywhere in the building. Sorry about that! But you'll have a key to let yourself back in once you're done smoking out on the sidewalk. You'll find that the smoking ban is in place throughout the city, and many bars and clubs ask you to smoke at the edge of the sidewalk rather than just outside the building. Luckily for you it doesn't snow much in San Francisco!
