As travelers from all over the world, we recognize we are all "differently-abled". Since 1992, Pacific Tradewinds has been committed to providing affordable and hostel-style accommodation to anyone visiting San Francisco.  However, because we are in a small historic building, we are not yet ADA accessible in all ways. We would still be happy to help you visit our city on a budget!

We are happy to report, that during our most recent renovation we added the following accessibility features to the hostel:

Unfortunately, during this renovation, our architects and city inspectors came to the determination that, given the nature and historic construction of our building in some accessibility features are currently technically infeasible or would create an unreasonable hardship on our small business. This is primarily due to the small size of our business and the small footprint of our historic Chinatown building.  The most significant of these limitations is the fact we do not currently have an elevator or fixed wheel-chair lift in our hostel.

However, we are continually researching and reviewing new accessible building technologies as they become available under the direction of our CASp inspector and consultant. We already accommodate many guests with disabilities and always strive to find creative solutions to allow disabled guests stay in our hostel whenever it's safe to do so. If you would like to explore options and explain any particular accessibility accommodations you may need during your stay for your stay, please contact our ADA coordinator. We will always do our best to accommodate your needs - either at our hostel or, if necessary, we will find equivalent accommodations at another San Francisco hostel or hotel at no additional cost.

Thank you for your support and understanding.  We will update this page as our hostel becomes more and more ADA accessible.
