Since 2011, Noise Pop and arts nonprofit The Bay Bridged have teamed up to create Phono del Sol. Voted "San Francisco's Best Music Festival" by San Francisco Magazine, this festival has brought some of the best names in indie and alternative rock to San Francisco every summer. They took a break last year, and are back this summer! And this time, it's 100 percent FREE! Yep - you can go to San Francisco's best music festival for free. How cool is that. This year's lineup features synth-pop band Porches, all-female alt rock band Chastity Belt, and eight more awesome bands you can listen to all day long. The event starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m. There will also be food trucks with food and drinks you can purchase. Although the festival is free, if you donate $10 to the festival, you will get $2 off on all the alcoholic beverages you buy at the event and also be able to sample some of those aforementioned adult beverages.
