San Francisco is full of street art nearly everywhere you look, but the Mission neighborhood is without question the apex of SF’s collection. It has entire alleys that are painted top to bottom, from one end to the other with riveting visuals of city happenings, the changing climate, and political protest. The Mission also has San Francisco’s largest mural. If you only have the chance to see one mural while you’re visiting (which, luckily, seems nearly impossible) make sure it’s the MaestraPeace Mural on the Women’s Building on 18th street. It’s a testament to women around the world and their brave contributions and is truly unreal.
Meet Kat in the hostel at 12pm to head to the Mission.
