Meeting time:
9 a.m.
Meeting Place:
Additional instructions:
Pacific Tradewinds guests: meet in the hostel common room at 8 a.m. and we will head over together! Ask reception for details on how we are getting there. You may need to bring some bus money. Make sure you also wear a jacket or two. This isn't Los Angeles, and the beach can get windy!
Few things ruin a beach day more than glancing around at the crashing waves, the seagulls flying over the Bay, and the sun shining down on the sand...which is littered with somebody else’s plastic cups, sandwich wrappers and cigarette butts. Join this annual Earth Day of Action event to clean up the beach in our neighboring city of Pacifica so that someone else’s trash stops being part of your beach day. Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., volunteers will work together to clean up the beach, as well as maintain the plants that surround it. After the cleanup, everyone will celebrate their hard work at the “EcoFest” of the south parking lot of Linda Mar State Beach! This event is free, but make sure to RSVP here beforehand. Remember: every day of the year, no matter where you go, please remember to pick up your trash and throw it away to keep the places you visit beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
