There are certain things that are just so SF sometimes even we don’t know what to do with ourselves. For instance, paying more in rent for a couch than your midwest friend does for a mansion, or having gluten free wifi on the menu. But one may reign supreme and that is the annual Hunky Jesus Contest. Yes, it’s exactly as it sounds. For the 40th year, men will compete on stage to be the sexiest Jesus Christ. Past participants have included rock star Jesus (used his cross as a guitar), roller skating Jesus (pretty sweet, he had tricks), twerking Jesus (a real winner), and baby Jesus (really awkward, and that’s saying a lot). They've also added the Foxy Mary Contest, so now women can compete as well! Really both contests are open to anyone, so hey, give it a go! Not only is this event hilarious, it’s put on by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an incredible group of activist drag queen nuns who raise money for charity.
