The De Young Museum is a famous art museum in Golden Gate Park. It’s full of amazing works, and admission is worth it, but FREE is even better! This summer you can experience a very unique and free event in the observation tower at the De Young Museum: a cinematic audio program composed by Skywalker Ranch sound designers Gary Rydstrom and Josh Gold, along with visual artist Anthony Discenza. The piece makes full use of the panoramic sweeping views (you can see over all of San Francisco) as a series of filmic “frames” with accompanying immersive soundtracks. This event runs June 17th- September 4th, 2018.
