Not interested in your typical museum but still want to embrace culture and creativity? Then the Museum of Craft & Design may be right up your alley. And since they offer free admission every first Tuesday of the month, you have no reason not to check it out sometime! What makes them so unique? Well, instead of finding your typical paintings or a traditional sculpture, you’re more apt to find other types of artwork such as furniture and jewelry, or even kinetic sculptures. They’ve only been in their permanent location a short time, but have been showcasing in SF for years in both Union Square and numerous pop-up shops. Now they are in the design district of Dogpatch at the historic American Industrial Center. They are definitely worth a visit, so go check them out!
