Farmer’s markets may sound as hipster as handlebar mustaches, cocktails that take 17 minutes to make, or using a walkman tape deck for music (if you are under 23 or so, google this ;) but San Francisco offers farmer’s markets for almost everyone and they are great to check out. Lucky for us one of the bigger ones is not only located in the beautiful Ferry Building (worth a visit in itself) but only a 10 minute walk from the hostel. It’s full of gorgeous fruits, veggies, bakery offerings, fresh juices, and much more. If nothing else, go for the free samples...there are tons! Go solo, or find a new hostel friend to join you with the group.
