The biggest dragon boat racing in the U.S., San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival 2013 will be held on Sept. 14 & 15, Saturday & Sunday at the Treasure Island. There are 3,500 paddlers for about 130 teams of dragon boat who will race on 300-meter courses. There will be a real life dragon boat on land, a health and fitness pavilion by Kaiser Permanente; stalls for international cuisine; children's playground and recreation - Dragon Land; Chinese acrobats; Lion and Dragon dance; hula hoop & YoYo performance; magic show & martial arts demonstration; and more fun-filled entertainment from the east as well as from locals.  Check the weekend schedule of the festival.
