City Star Viewing Party & Telescope Night
Date:
Saturday 12 Aug 2017
Meeting time:
7:30pm-11pm
Meeting Place:
Point Lobos | El Camino del Mar St, San Francisco
Stargazing is probably not the first thing you think of when coming into a big city, but San Francisco is one of those places that is full of surprises. Each month the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers hold a star viewing party and telescope night where you get the chance to look at our amazing universe up close through high powered telescopes. You can also interact with more those a little more experienced than yourself to gain some knowledge and tips about the night sky. Everyone is friendly and ready to share their learnings, and new people are always welcome. This is a great activity to take a break from the chaos and usual events of traveling. Grab a new hostel friend or come solo. The location changes each month, so be sure to check their website for where in the city you should head to.
