Chocoholics get ready! You’ve heard of Ghiradelli, San Francisco’s famous chocolate company, and maybe you’ve even had the chance to try some already. But if you’re a choco lover, this is the real deal. The festival attracts about 40,000 visitors from the Bay Area, and even friends around the world. If you are interested in innovative cooking and baking, you can find well known local chefs getting creative with inventions at multiple cooking demos. And of course you have to try all the offerings. Over 30 different booths from local restaurants, bakeries, and other chocolate companies have dessert samples all weekend. Win! The event begins at noon and is over at 5. Tickets start around $26, but profits from the event are donated to Project Open Hand, a non-profit organization that provides food and compassion to people living HIV/AIDS, home-bound and critically ill people, as well as seniors in San Francisco. Eating chocolate for a good cause? Why not?!?!
