There's a whole staff group that takes turns in being on duty. But all of them are hanging out in the common room, there is always someone to chat and they all know the area pretty well. They can give you lots of recommendations plus will take you out to do fun stuff. We liked to buy cheep food in China town (5 min) and cook at the hostel. I recommend to bring a lock for the lockers under the bed. They are nice and huge! So you can just stuff your stuff under the bed and lock the door. Much better than regular stand-up lockers!
