This event is located in Darren's old neighborhood.   Bernal Heights in celebrating their 24th Annual Fiesta on the Hill from 10am to 6pm of Sunday, October 21. It is a community based festival presented by the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center with over 20,000 friends and neighbors within greater Bay Area will participate to preserve and enhance the ethnic, cultural, and economic diversity. It is a big, high-profile and energetic Festival free from alcohol event focusing on children, youth and seniors. The whole Cortland Avenue will be barricaded from Bocana Avenue to Folsom Street with full of non-profit booths, food, live music, petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin patch and more. Points of entry will be at Bennington, Andover and Gates Streets. BHNC has been serving Bernal Heights for more than 34 years developing affordable housing suited for low and moderate incomes family; offering youth and senior programs; providing job or employment development and many more equitable community services for the people in all ages.
