Music is awesome, free music is even better, but celebrating music at the same time as people in over 700 other cities while honoring the Summer solstice?? Amazing! “Fête de La Musique” is a movement that was started in France in 1982 and means “Make Music”. The Make Music Day is now a worldwide celebration where hundreds of millions of people around the world gather on the Summer solstice, June 21st, to celebrate, create, and share music together. This happens everywhere in public spaces and for free, so that music is accessible to all. It incorporates musicians of all styles, all ages, and all skill levels. The most important thing is to simply spread the joy, magic, love, and happiness of music with the community. So join us in attending a San Francisco Make Music Day event this solstice. Meet Ryan in the hostel at 6pm to head out.
