The name should give it away, but San Francisco’s Exploratorium is far more than just a museum to visit. It’s a completely interactive space to explore, get creative, play and tinker. This place is amazing, and worth the usual $30 admission, but coming up is a FREE day! Dubbed a 21st century learning laboratory, the Exploratorium an ongoing exploration of science, art and human perception. You can do everything there from step inside a tornado, turn upside down in a curved mirror, walk on a fog bridge, and explore more than 650 hands-on exhibits. The offerings are always changing, and the Exploratorium also includes many unique programs, discussions, and events. If you get hungry while you’re there, a cafe and restaurant can fulfill your needs, and if you want some swag to take home, there are two stores on site. After you’ve had your fill, head outside and look out at the beautiful San Francisco Bay; the location is right on the waterfront. The free days here are always super busy, so be sure to get there early or just have some patience waiting in line. It’s worth it :) Picture courtesy of https://www.instagram.com/exploratorium/
