PTW Managment & Staff Have a Real Family Vibe And Are So Welcoming

Darren & Friends were some of the most affable, welcoming hostel proprietors I've ever met. Check in and out was pain free, the rooms were quiet and comfortable, the linens cozy, and the showers some of the most beautiful, light-filled spaces I've ever seen (including nice hotels!). The location is right between Chinatown and the Commercial District with easy access via public transit to North Beach, SOMA, Embarcadero, etc. I was able to make several business meetings, walk to the Golden Gate Bridge (granted, I really love walking), and meet friends for dinner without running up huge MUNI and BART charges. The lockers are very secure, as is the hostel itself. You can tell the staff have a real family vibe and are so welcoming. They gave me a paper Valentine when I checked out on February 14th, and invited me to share in some wine and snacks for a staff member's going away party. I can't recommend this place strongly enough!
