Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is an annual music festival started since 2001, founded and subsidized solely by Warren Hellman for over 13 years even after his death. Thus, this event is totally free with more than 90 performers including Bonnie Raitt, Steve Earle and The Dukes, Tumbleweed Wanderers, Chris Isaak, Vince Gill, MC Hammer, Boz Scaggs at Hellman Hollow, Lindley and Marx meadows in Golden Gate Park for 3 consecutive days:  10 - 11am     October 4 (Friday) Kids program     Noon - 7pm    October 4 (Friday) 11 - 7pm     October 5 & 6 (Saturday & Sunday)        No smoking and alcohol allowed in the park; only food and drinks are available from local vendors.
